Since they were sold together during its launch in Japan in 1990, North America in 1991, and Europe in 1992. It was also the seventh installment in the Super Mario series. The game was developed by Nintendo’s Entertainment Analysis and Development Group, led by Shigeru Miyamoto, who directed the game together with Takashi Tezuka.
The plot centers on the quest that Mario and Luigi must undertake to save the “Dinosaur Land” and rescue Princess Toadstool from the clutches of Bowser, the main antagonist of the series. Both brothers must travel through seven worlds to restore order to “Dinosaur Land.” For the game, it was based on the gameplay of previous installments of the saga, and in addition, new powers have introduced that increase the abilities of the characters, along with other aspects that served as the basis for several later titles in the series.
