The game was released in 1997 to seven different platforms, and was the third edition of 3D for fifth-generation consoles and PCs, and was the first series title for the Nintendo 64.
The 1998 edition is considered one of the most important in FIFA. A new graphics engine has been created, and tactical options, the official soundtrack, publishers, real stadiums and new leagues have been added for the first time. The game appeared a few months before the start of the 1998 World Cup, including the World Course game mode, which plays the qualifying round and the World Cup with 173 selections, which were then recognized by FIFA.
THE FIFA 98 was released on seven different platforms, and was the latest edition to appear on fourth-generation consoles such as Super Nintendo and Mega Drive. Its first release date was June 14, 1997 for computers, while the console version was not available until November and December, on the European and North American market. The graphics of the fourth generation were not three-dimensional, and the gameplay was similar to the first FIFA. On laptops was a version for Game Boy.
