Bomberman is a strategic labyrinthine video game franchise originally developed by Hudson Soft and currently Konami. The original game was developed by Shinichi Nakamoto and in 1983 for PC and later for Famicom. New games have been released since then.

The series has more than 70 games for different platforms, as well as various anime and manga, such as Bomberman Jetters. It is very successful in Japan, although it is not so big in America. The character was the mascot of Hudson Soft, which owned all of Bomberman’s copyrights until Konami absorbed it in 2012. On January 13, 2017, at the presentation of the Nintendo Switch, Super Bomberman R was announced as the title of the console’s release, returning to the franchise after the collapse of Hudson Soft.
Usually, Bomberman has a blue body, white hands and feet with a black belt, the head is all covered with white color, except for the forehead, where he has long stripes completely black like the eyes, but no hair, nose, no ears, but has a kind of antennae on the head with a pink ball on the top. The shoes are pink and have no mouth. However, he can speak and sign with his forehead and hands to understand those who talk to him. In some video games, other black, blue, red and green Bombermans appear as gameplayable characters, but you can win on other non-Bomberman characters in some video games of the series.
