It is the third installment in the Mario Kart series and the first to appear for a portable game console. The game was released in Japan on July 21, 2001, in North America on August 27, 2001, and in Europe on September 14, 2001. It is the successor to Mario Kart 64.(1996) and Mario Kart’s predecessor: Double Dash
Like its predecessors, Mario Kart: Super Circuit is a circuit racing video game. In them, the player competes against seven opponents, all of them from Nintendo’s series of Mario characters, in small karts. Scattered throughout the circuits are power-ups to help the character to achieve them, weaken his opponents, or increase the speed of the player and coins with which the maximum speed of the runner is increased.
